Rhinoplasty - Nose surgery
It is possible to perform rhinoplasty either under general or local anesthesia. Rhinoplasty takes 1 – 2 hours, the surgeon shapes the soft and the hard part of a nose according to aesthetic expectations and anatomic possibilities of the patient. During the surgery the surgeon uses usually inner incisions that are inconspicuous. Immediately after the surgery a plaster stent is put on the patient's nose, it is necessary to wear it for approximately 2 weeks. During this period of time blood bruises and swellings occur especially in the area around eyes. Risks of nose surgery are the same as by any other surgery with anesthesia.
